The Protection of the Virgin Mary (PTVM) Bookstore and Lending Library are vibrant ministries designed to equip our parish community with resources that support our Orthodox Christian spiritual journey—and maybe even add a little extra incense to your home!
The PTVM Bookstore offers a wide variety of Orthodox treasures, including books, icons, incense, cards, and more (and we have a delightful selection of children’s books, perfect for nurturing young hearts in the faith!). Each item has a suggested donation amount. Simply place your payment and the attached index card into the donation bin when you make a selection. If you’re short on cash, we’ll happily hold the item for you—just don’t walk off with it on the honor system alone (no IOUs, please; our ledger only tracks saints, not debts).
The Lending Library is your go-to spot for borrowing thoughtfully curated Orthodox resources. We’ve got everything from theological deep dives to cozy reads for kids. Signing out an item is simple—just fill out the form and, when you’re finished, return it promptly (St. Phanourius can help us find lost things, but we’d rather not call him to find overdue books).
Whether you’re purchasing or borrowing, these ministries aim to deepen your faith and keep you connected to the rich traditions of Orthodoxy—one page, icon, or whiff of incense at a time!
